Local Services Ads · Phoenix

Local Services Ads managementfor home service businesses in the Valley.

Local Services Ads (LSA) sit at the very top of Google for plumbers, roofers, HVAC companies and other trades. You pay per lead, not per click. We get you through Google's checks, set them up for the work you want, and make sure every lead gets an answer.

The short answer

Local Services Ads are Google ads for home service businesses that show above the regular results and charge per lead: a call, message or booking. Viridia Analytics sets them up and manages them for businesses across the Valley, from Google's screening to the monthly report.

What a Local Services Ad looks like.Your name, the badge and two buttons.

You don't write these ads. Google builds them from your profile: your business name, the areas you serve, your hours and the Google Verified badge. The person searching taps Call or Message, and that contact is the lead you pay for.

So the work is in the profile: the right job types, the right areas, accurate hours, and someone ready to answer.

How you're charged

You pay per lead. Here is what Google counts as one.

From Google's own help page on how leads work.

Calls

A call you answer, or call back and talk to. A missed call during business hours counts if the caller stays on more than 20 seconds.

Messages and bookings

Texts, emails and voicemails from customers count. So do booking requests, in the US and Canada.

What doesn't count

Spam, duplicates and invalid calls aren't charged. The same customer contacting you again within 15 days isn't charged twice.

That's why answering matters so much here: a missed call during business hours can still cost you a lead. We set ad hours to when someone can pick up, or set up an answering service for the hours you can't.

Before your ads run

Google checks you first. Then you get the Google Verified badge.

New advertisers have to pass Google's screening and verification before ads run. What Google asks for depends on your trade and area: things like your business license, insurance and background checks. Google now shows one badge for every advertiser who passes: Google Verified. It replaced the older Google Guaranteed badge, and the money-back guarantee that came with it has ended.

  • We tell you which documents your trade needs before you start
  • We set up your profile so the checks don't stall on a mismatch
  • If you were verified before, your badge carries over and there's nothing to redo

What we do

What we do in your account.

Named, not vague.

  • Your profile set up in your business's name, or a cleanup of the one you have
  • Job types turned on for the work you want, and off for the work you don't
  • Service area set to the cities and ZIP codes you actually drive to
  • Budget and ad hours set to when someone can answer
  • Every lead rated in the account, which Google uses to tune the leads you get
  • Credits watched: Google now credits invalid and low-quality leads on its own, and we check they show up
  • A monthly report: spend, leads, cost per lead, booked jobs where we can track them, and what we change next

What changes in 2026

They are moving into Google Ads.Same ads, new controls.

Google is moving these campaigns out of their own dashboard and into Google Ads. Here is what Google says changes and what stays the same.

Google is moving US home service trades like plumbing, HVAC, roofing and pest control first, starting in August 2026, with more businesses in late 2026, and emails advertisers 14 days before. Download your old reports before the switch. We do that and set up the new campaign for our clients. Google's page on the move

Who it fits

Built for the trades. Not for restaurants or shops.

Emergency trades

Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, garage doors and locksmiths. People call the first business that looks verified and open now.

Project trades

Roofing, painting and remodeling. Leads come in as calls and messages for estimates, and the badge helps a stranger let you in.

Recurring services

Cleaning, pest control and pool service. A steady flow of new customers, at a cost you can see per lead.

Not a home service business? Google Ads and Facebook and Instagram ads fit local shops instead.

FAQ

Questions about LSA

What are Google Local Services Ads?
Ads for home service businesses that can show at the very top of Google search and Maps. You pay per lead, meaning a call, message or booking, not per click. Google screens the business before the ads run, and businesses that pass show the Google Verified badge.
What happened to the Google Guaranteed badge?
Google replaced it with one badge for all advertisers, Google Verified, and ended the money-back guarantee that came with the old badge. If you were already verified, the new badge carries over automatically.
Can I get money back for bad leads?
Google now checks leads on its own and credits ones it judges invalid or low quality, usually within 30 days. Some leads, like jobs outside your service list or area, are no longer credited, which is why setting job types and areas carefully matters. We rate every lead in the account so Google can tune what you get.
Should I run Local Services Ads or Google Ads?
For most home service businesses, LSA is the first place to start, because you pay per lead and the ad sits at the top. Google Ads adds control over the exact searches and wording. Many contractors run both.
Do I own my LSA account?
Where possible, it runs in an account in your business's name, and it stays yours when the service ends.
Can you guarantee leads?
No. How many leads come in depends on your trade, your area, your budget and how fast leads get answered. We promise the work: setup done right, weekly checks and a straight monthly report.
